Cartouche

"Cartouche" is an ongoing exploration of the traditional European design motif of the same name. A Cartouche is an oblong or oval shapes adorned with scroll and other ornamentation to frame various elements such as inscription, coat of arms or royal name. With this series, I study the traditional motifs that are seen in their design and translate that into the world of jewelry.
